We liked Momofuku! They have good portion sizes and the items we got were yummy! I just wish they had another vegetarian option to try as there is only a mushroom ramen, which I will say is good, even as a person who doesn't particularly love mushrooms. We also got the green salad and it was yum, with an amazing dressing. The ambiance is really nice and I can imagine it being a very nice dinner spot.

Momofuku Noodle Bar in New York is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was nothing short of spectacular. The pork buns were heavenly--perfectly tender with just the right amount of seasoning. I didn't even get a picture!! The star of the show, though, was the ramen (of course) The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the toppings were fresh and delicious. The quality of the food, the excellent service, and the lively atmosphere make it a must-visit spot in New York. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the city.

I read the founder of Momofuku's memoir (Eat a Peach by David Chang) so I was eager to try out his food. The memoir discusses Chang's vision as a chef and his meticulous commitment to perfecting the food, crafting the ideal ambiance, and being a pioneer in the American ramen restaurant space. Some of this is evident in the restaurant when you look at the decor and taste the food. The pork buns were pretty good, close, but not better than ones I've had from Okiboru House of Tsukemen. I liked the smoked pork belly, they were more on the leaner side actually but the flavor was nice! Bun texture was nice and fluffy. Smoked pork ramen was really solid! Came with a mushroom broth which at first I thought was so-so but grew on me the more I ate it. I think they used shiitake mushrooms or something of the sort because the depth of flavor was there - reminded me of a Chinese style soup. Both of my dining companions really enjoyed the broth. The noodles are made of barley which I was wary of, but the texture is spot on - springy and perfectly cooked. I also liked the thickness of the noodles. Some ramen places have thin ones but these are the perfect medium. The pork was the same as those from the buns and they put 2 large pieces in the bowl which was generous. The poached egg was an odd choice; I think they meant for the yolk to add flavor to the broth, but it got destroyed instantly by me using the spoon to try to scoop it, forever lost in the bowl. The bowl was more deep than wide, which made it hard to scoop up the soup after you ate about 30% of it, which was a little frustrating. My boyfriend said the chilled noodles were pretty good. I tried one of the peanuts and it had a nice roasted flavor with a touch of sweetness which was enjoyable. There was a ton of sausage included. We also got a side of chili crunch which was not as good as Lao Gan Ma but decent. Noticeably, no MSG in the Momofuku chili crunch.

Improving their food! Had the super spicy tuna hand roll to share plus the pork ramen. The hand roll can make up to like 6 bite size rolls. BEWARE! It's soo spicy lol. We all can handle spicy but that was quite strong! We love it tho! Ramen was really good! Broth rich and both pieces of chashu perfectly cooked! As well as the ramen itseld. Super hearty. Friends got the sake flight and it was okay. None of them like the yuzu and house sake was mild in tasting.
